Small Groups

"Becoming Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus Christ Through Relationships that make a Difference"

Our Small Group Ministry is currently being revamped with newly trained people to lead others in living out the Gospel more fully with each other while being an inviting community to those who don’t have a relationship with Christ yet.  These Gospel Communities will be growing into our various communities in which people of Faith live.  We are working on getting these up and going, so please be patient as we work out the details and the training.

Below, you can see samples of Small Groups that were previously available.  Some are still going as Bible Studies

  • STUDY: To study God’s word so we can grow in our knowledge and relationship with the Lord and each other. Led by Becca Hilden and Rebecca Beavers at Faith Baptist on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.
  • STUDY: A Topical Study Led by Jeannie Patz and Marty Sanders.  Wednesday nights 6:30pm at Faith Baptist Church.

Men:

  • STUDY: "Iron Sharpening Iron" - Men's study &  accountability group meets every Tuesday morning from 7:30-8:30am (Rm A2).  Topics of Study change.  Alex Long facilitates.
  • DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS: “Men of Faith” is Comprehensive Discipleship: And Discipleship is having a Transformed life product, being intentional about imparting that product, and spending enough time doing the right things with each other to grow in and impart that product to others, so that the recipient of that life product will be transformed himself and want to impart it as well. – (Adapted from Randy Pope)

Men, our desire and plan in “Men of Faith” is to become Rooted in the Word & Power of Christ so that we can be Released to live out God’s Mission.  We hope you will join us in this Life-Changing and Engaging endeavor.

We have chosen a process, a Trek up the mountain, to help each of us get there.  And, we earnestly desire for you to come along on this Discipleship Trek with us.

It begins with Getting in.

This is “Base Camp” – Basics; to help us get ready for the Trek ahead of us.  This is where we “Get Rooted” in: The Word, Love, Community, and Obedience

The next stage involves Roping Up together with a few partners and beginning the Trek on the easier part of the slope in order to Get Healthy.”  This involves discovering what a Man is, by God’s design, in key areas of our lives.  The intention here is to drop some baggage and heal some wounds to get ready and rope-up together for the climb still ahead of us.

Many may be tempted to stop here, to bail and take the gondola back down the hill and sit at Base Camp.  But we have only just begun.

The third stage is Getting Strong.”  This is where we rely on each other, dig deep into the Powerful Word of God, and together, set the pattern of our lives to become “Fully Devoted Followers of Christ:”  As the Men God Created You to Be, Bringing Him to Work With You…Men of Influence; Building a Home, Not Just a House, Believing and Knowing the Truth, and Living out your Mission with God.

Finishing this Trek together by Getting Going.”  This is where each of us is “Released to Live God’s Mission:” Purposefully, Contagiously, Compassionately, and Generously.

Men, “His intent was that now, through (you), the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to His eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  (Eph. 3:10)

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.  (Colossians 2:6-7)

And, “Now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.” (Rom. 7:6)
